AHM5087G AT&SF Class 3400 4-6-2 Heavy Pacific Locomotive #3423
Baldwin built fifty 3400 class Pacific type (4-6-2) locomotives for the AT&SF between 1919 and 1924 (#3400-#3449). Survivor #3423 was one of a batch of ten 3400s built in 1921 at a cost of $61,927.08 each. "She" ran several routes across the U.S. but spent most of her time in Texas. This engine was in service until 1952 and now is on display at the Santa Fe Depot in Temple, Texas.
