There is no doubt that we circus modelers owe a great deal to K-Line both before and after their "merger" with Lionel in 2007. They were, as near as we can tell, the first to offer licensed RBB&B ready-to-run O Scale rolling stock in 1991 and their innovation in extruded aluminum coach bodies resulted in some of the finest model railroad products ever offered. Period.

RBB&B licensing, however, doesn't come cheap and, again, as near as we can tell, K-Line stopped producing RBB&B products, and paying license fees, at the end of 1993. Lionel would revive production in 2007 but, until then, K-Line remained committed to O Scale circus modeling. Thus was born the legendary K-Line Circus Transport Railroad (CTR) product line.

Much of the K-Line CTR rolling stock continued to be produced under the K-Line by Lionel banner after 2007. The superb CTR 18" extruded aluminum coaches, 13.5" plastic body coaches and rugged circus box and reefer cars, such as this MRCHQ Collectible K-Line K642-5301 CTR Clown Billboard Wood-Sided Reefer Car, were even re-released with minor revisions and rebranded under Lionel's banner.
