Mantua 320-24 C&O MKII Super Detailed 4-6-2 Pacific Locomotive

The 4-6-2 Pacific was certainly one of the most important configurations in the history of American railroads. You are, however, not going to read here our usual discussion of a particular locomotive's class history. Instead, we're going to tell you about some particular Mantua history, specifically, their "rarest of the rare" Mark II Series of Super Detailed Locomotives.

In 1980 Mantua introduced, and OFFERED FOR ONE YEAR ONLY, their 2-8-0 Consolidation, 2-8-2 Mikado and 4-6-2 Pacific each in four different road names and each with never-to-be-seen-again extra factory applied "lost cast" super detailed brass components. Each of these 12 locos also featured Vandy Tenders which, for the Consolidation, ALSO would never be seen again thus making the MKII Super Detailed 2-8-0 Consolidation Locomotive the rarest of all. But wait, there's more! We have also included two features that were not factory available: A Working Front Knuckle Coupler and our MRRHQ Custom Directional Back-up Light. Need we say more?
